Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the StringLab platform ('Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms'), version 1.0, effective February 16, 2026. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, do not use our Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StringLab Tecnologia Ltda ('StringLab', 'we', 'our'), governed by Brazilian Law 12.965/2014 (Marco Civil da Internet), Law 13.709/2018 (LGPD), and the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code (Law 8.078/1990) where applicable.

2. Description of Service

StringLab is a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform for tennis racket stringing management. We offer:

• For Players (B2C): Racket registration, stringing history, performance feedback, QR codes, AI-based recommendations
• For Shops (B2B): String job management, string inventory control, team management (stringers, managers), QR code workflow, reports and analytics
• QR code generation for quick access to racket history
• AI-powered analysis and recommendations (Pro plans) including feedback synthesis, setup recommendations, and simulations

3. User Accounts

To use our Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and current information during registration
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of your password and not share login credentials
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at [email protected]
• Be at least 16 years old in the EU or 13 years old in other jurisdictions (or applicable legal minimum age)

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Violate laws, regulations, or third-party rights
• Transmit harmful, offensive, defamatory, or illegal content
• Falsify identity or impersonate another person or entity
• Send spam, chain letters, or unsolicited content
• Exploit bugs, vulnerabilities, or reverse engineer the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or servers

6. Intellectual Property

StringLab and all its content (code, design, logos, text, graphics, AI algorithms) are property of StringLab Tecnologia Ltda and protected by Brazilian copyright and intellectual property laws and international treaties. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the Service for the duration of your account. You retain ownership of data you enter on the platform (racket information, feedback, shop data), but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process, store, and display that data as necessary to provide and improve the Service. This license is automatically revoked when you delete your data or close your account.

7. Payment Terms

We offer different plans:

• Free Plan (Players): Basic features free forever, including up to 3 rackets and basic feedback
• Pro Plan (Players): Advanced AI features (synthesis, recommendations, simulations), unlimited rackets, with monthly or annual billing via Stripe
• Shop Basic Plan (B2B): Up to 3 team members, basic reports, with monthly or annual billing

Payments are securely processed via Stripe, PCI-DSS compliant. You authorize recurring charges for subscriptions. Prices may change with 30 days' notice. Prices are displayed in the selected currency (BRL, USD, or EUR) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through account settings. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds, except when required by applicable consumer protection law. Under Brazilian Consumer Defense Code, consumers have a 7-day right of withdrawal for a full refund.

9. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available', to the extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for: (a) data loss due to technical failures or user error; (b) decisions made based on AI recommendations; (c) problems resulting from third-party equipment use; (d) indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the greater of: (i) the amount you paid in the last 12 months; or (ii) USD $100. This limitation does not apply in cases of willful misconduct, fraud, or where consumer protection law prohibits such limitation.

10. Termination and Account Deletion

You can close your account at any time through settings. Deletion follows the process described in our Privacy Policy with a 30-day grace period, during which you may request export of your data in JSON format. We may suspend or terminate your account if: (a) you violate these Terms; (b) there is suspected fraud or abuse; (c) you fail to pay for contracted services after notification; (d) we are required by law. In case of suspension, we will notify you by email with the reason and timeframe for resolution. After final termination, your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and the retention periods described therein.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, in particular Law 12.965/2014 (Marco Civil da Internet), Law 13.709/2018 (LGPD), and the Consumer Defense Code (Law 8.078/1990). For users in the European Union, local consumer protection laws apply when more favorable, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 593/2008 (Rome I).
